Anti-India demo held in Brussels on Indian Republic Day
Brussels: A peaceful protest demonstration was held in front of the Indian Embassy in Brussels to mark India’s Republic Day, today (January 26) as Black Day.
According to Kashmir Media Service, despite rain and bad weather, a number of Kashmiris and their sympathizers participated in the demonstration organised by Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU) with the support of other organizations. It was led by KCEU Chairman Ali Raza Syed.
The protesters were carrying banners with slogans against India and in favor of Kashmir’s freedom from Indian illegal occupation. The protestors called upon India to stop its atrocities on Kashmiris and fulfill its promises of giving the Kashmiri people their right to self-determination.
Chaudhary Khalid Joshi, Rao Mostejab, Sardar Mahmood Iqbal, Andre Barcs Nadeem Mahar, Syed Aslam Shah, Zahid Shah, Zaheer Zahid, Shazia Aslam and many others attended the protest.
Addressing the demonstrators, the KCEU Chairman Ali Raza Syed demanded an end to the human rights violations being perpetrated by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir. He also urged India to resolve the Kashmir dispute by giving the Kashmiris their inalienable right for ensuring durable peace in South Asia.
