India has no right to celebrate its Republic Day in IIOJK: Speakers
Islamabad: The speakers at a webinar have said that the Indian Republic Day is a Black Day for Kashmiris as the Indian troops have been continuing a reign of terror in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir for the last over seven decades.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the webinar was jointly organized by Friends of Kashmir International and Kashmir Media Service to highlight the Indian atrocities in the occupied territory.
The speakers said the Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government is using brutal tactics to suppress not only the Kashmiris but also all minorities in India. “Modi regime has made the lives of Kashmiris and minorities miserable, so the Indian government has no right to celebrate its Republic Day in IIOJK,” they added.
They said the India special days, including Republic Day and Independence Day, always bring more misery to the people of IIOJK as the occupational troops step up their brutalities on the Kashmiris on such occasions.
They said India is not a democracy but an aggressor which is inflicting immense atrocities on Kashmiris for demanding freedom from its illegal occupation. They said India has no right to celebrate its Republic Day in IIOJK as it is illegally occupying the territory against the will of Kashmiri people.
The speakers said the genocide of Kashmiris has completely exposed the Indian democracy, adding the Modi’s fascist government has made the life of Kashmiris as well as minorities in India, especially Muslims miserable. They said the Kashmiris reject India’s Republic Day outright and will continue their struggle till they achieve freedom from the Indian yoke.
They said India’s claims of being a democracy are hoax as its troops have martyred hundreds of thousands of innocent Kashmiris and appealed to the United Nations to take cognizance of Indian state terrorism in IIOJK and play role in resolving the Kashmir dispute by granting the Kashmiri people their right to self-determination.
The speakers said India claims to be a large democracy but virtually stands exposed in occupied Jammu and Kashmir as it is trampling all fundamental rights of the people. They said observing Indian Republic Day as Black Day by Kashmiris is a clear message to India and the world that India has occupied the territory through military might and wanted freedom from it.
They said, on one hand, India is celebrating its Republic Day every year, but on the other, it has deprived the people of Kashmir of their birthright to self-determination.
