Another BSF constable takes his own life in West Bengal
Kolkata: In second less than a month, another Indian Border Security Force (BSF) constable committed suicide in the West Bengal state of India.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the BSF constable, identified as Navin Kumar (30), committed suicide by shooting himself with his service revolver during duty hours at the Indo-Bangladesh border in Tehatta area of Nadia district in the state.
He was first rushed to a local hospital in a profusely bleeding condition, and as his condition started deteriorating, he was moved to Baharampur State General Hospital, where he succumbed to his bullet injuries.
This is the second incident of suicide reported from West Bengal in less than a month. Earlier, a BSF man identified as Satyban Singh (48), posted at the Indo-Bangladesh border in Dinhata of Cooch Behar district, also committed suicide with his service rifle.
