Drive launched for one million emails to UN Chief on Kashmir issue
Islamabad: Under the Kashmir E-Mail Campaign, initiated by the Kashmiri youth, around a million emails will be sent to the United Nations Secretary-General, advocating for the right to self-determination of the people of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the campaign was launched at a conference in Islamabad, today, and it concluded with a powerful message from young leader Zahid Safi, emphasizing the sacrifices made by Kashmiris over the past many decades for the cause of self-determination.
Zahid Safi highlighted the enduring commitment of Kashmiris, stating, “For more than 70 years, our people have sacrificed for the cause of freedom. Our struggle will continue until we achieve our goal of self-determination.” The Kashmir E-Mail Conference concluded with the launch of the ninth phase, marked by an email to the UN Secretary-General.
This initiative aims to garner international support by bringing attention to the longstanding Kashmir issue and the sacrifices made by the Kashmiri people in their pursuit of freedom. The email campaign seeks to warrant the United Nations’ attention in addressing the aspirations of the Kashmiri population for self-determination.
