Kashmir Solidarity Day: PAC organises photographic exhibition, walk

Rawalpindi: Punjab Arts Council, Rawalpindi, organized a photographic exhibition and walk in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day to be observed on Monday (February 5).

According to Kashmir Media Service, General Secretary of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter Sheikh Abdul Mateen and Information Secretary Imtiaz Wani were chief guests.

Sheikh Abdul Mateen on the occasion said that the worst atrocities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have exposed the real face of India before the world and the examples of such worst atrocities are rare in human history.

He further said that the dream of world peace can never be fulfilled without the freedom of Occupied Kashmir. He said that till today millions of Kashmiris have sacrificed their lives for freedom and the only demand of Kashmiris is that they should be given the right to self-determination.

APHC-AJK Information Secretary Imtiaz Wani said the entire humanity is ashamed of Indian atrocities on the Kashmiri people and it is a disgraceful stain on human history and conscience, so every Pakistani and every peaceful person in the world should raise their voice for the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people. The Muslim Ummah and the United Nations should play their role in resolving the Kashmir issue, he added.

Director of Arts Council Waqar Ahmed said that Pakistan has always strongly supported the right to self-determination of Kashmiris at the political, moral and diplomatic level. It is Pakistan’s principled position that the Kashmir dispute should be resolved according to the will of the Kashmiri people under the United Nations resolutions.
