Heavy snowfall plunges Bandipora villages into misery
Srinagar: Life in the hilly villages of Bandipora, in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, has become miserable after heavy snowfall, with authorities failing to clear the snow, making it hard for people to go anywhere.
According to the Kashmir Media Service, villagers in Vewan and Chandaji areas of the district have been without electricity and clean water for over a month.
Things got even scarier when a man had to carry his injured brother on a cot to the hospital because the roads were blocked. The local health center doesn’t have enough doctors, making it tough for people to get medical help.
The road to Gurez is closed too, and it won’t open until a special team clears the snow.
The villagers are in a tough spot, and the authorities need to do more to help them. It’s a difficult time for these villages, and quick action is needed to make things better.
