Saghar lauds HRCP for highlighting plight of Kashmiri people

Islamabad: APHC AJK convener Mehmood Ahmad Saghar
has said that the Human Rights Council of Pakistan (HRCP) has been continuously playing important role in highlighting the Kashmir dispute.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mehmood Ahmad Saghar expressed these views while talking to a delegation of the Council led by its Chairman Jamshed Hussain, Monis Ikhlas, and Muhammad Shahid Sheikh at the APHC-AJK office in Islamabad, today.

Highlighting the consistent efforts of the Human Rights Council of Pakistan, Saghar emphasized its unwavering commitment to raising awareness about the Kashmir issue both socially and diplomatically. He reiterated the Council’s steadfast support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.

During the meeting, Saghar, along with other Hurriyat leaders including Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Imtiaz Wani, and Syed Ijaz Rahmani, condemned the oppressive policies of the Modi-led Indian government in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. They likened India’s tactics to those of Israel, emphasizing the brutalization of innocent Kashmiris.

In response, Jamshed Hussain, Chairman of the Human Rights Council of Pakistan, hailed the resilience of the Kashmiri people in the face of oppression. He condemned India’s attempts to suppress the Kashmiri freedom movement through violence, arrests, and unjust restrictions.

Imtiaz Wani, APHC-AJK Secretary Information emphasized the need for continued advocacy on Kashmir.
