‘Modi regime trying to distort truth for promoting its false narrative on Kashmir’

#FalseNormalcyNarrativeInIIOJK

Islamabad: India is continuously peddling propaganda to push its false narrative of so-called normalcy returning to Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

A report released by Kashmir Media Service, today, said the Modi regime is trying to distort the truth and twist facts to promote its false narrative on Kashmir.

Is this normalcy that 875 Kashmiris have been killed, 2404 injured, 24118 arrested since 5th August 2019 in IIOJK, it asked, adding everyday killings, detentions, slapping of draconian laws on innocent Kashmiris debunk India’s claim of normalcy in the occupied territory.

The report said Indian troops have converted IIOJK into an open jail where basic human rights are abused on a perpetual basis. India intends to paint the picture that all is well in occupied Jammu and Kashmir but the fact is that all is against normal there, it maintained.

The report said Indian claims of normalcy returning to the occupied territory is nothing but a cruel joke and a failed effort to hoodwink the international community.

The Kashmiri people must be heard and granted the opportunity to decide their own future as peace and stability will remain a distant dream in South Asia without resolution of the lingering Kashmir dispute, it concluded.
