According to Kashmir Media Service, the company, seeking to fill just five positions in the chemical industry, was overwhelmed by the sheer number of applicants, with estimates suggesting over 1,000 candidates showed up.
The chaotic scene was captured on video, showing hundreds of students gathered at a hotel, all vying for a chance to land one of the coveted roles. The positions included Shift Incharge, Plant Operator, Supervisor, Mechanical Filter, and Executive positions, attracting candidates with diverse qualifications, ranging from B.E. in Chemical Engineering to ITI certifications.
As the crowds surged forward, the hotel’s railing gave way under the pressure, causing a young man to fall and damaging nearby vehicles. Despite the chaos, the company remained unreachable for comment.
