Abrogation of Articles 370 & 35A stripped IIOJK of constitutional rights: PDP

Jammu, August 06 (KMS): The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has declared August 5, 2019, as a “black day” for Indian illegally occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK) and the Constitution of India.

PDP spokesperson Virendra Singh, speaking to media in Jammu, criticized the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, stating that these actions stripped the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir of their constitutional rights.

“Jammu and Kashmir was turned into a prison and divided into two parts. Five years have passed, and our grievances remain unheard. Claims of improved conditions are baseless,” he asserted.

Singh also questioned the BJP government’s consideration of special status for Bihar while denying the same to IIOJK. “Why are our rights taken away? What did we do wrong?” he asked.

He emphasized that the people of Jammu feel deceived. “Where is the new industry policy? The BJP has looted Jammu and Kashmir. Our fight against this injustice will continue,” he concluded.
