Mirwaiz family bereaved as Molvi Nisar Ahmad passes away in Srinagar
Srinagar: Molvi Nisar Ahmad, member of the Mirwaiz family and son of Molvi Muhammad Shah, resident of Brein Nishat, passed away after a prolonged illness.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Molvi Nisar was an electrical engineer by profession and the grandson of Moulvi Rasool Shah Sahib (RA) and nephew of Muhajir-e-Millat Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Yusuf Shah (RA).
The funeral prayer for the deceased was led by senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq at Brein Nishat in Srinagar. Molvi Nisar Ahmad was later laid to rest in the ancestral graveyard of the Mirwaiz family.
A three-day mourning will be observed by the family for the deceased. While a brief prayer session will be held at the deceased’s ancestral home in Brein Nishat, adjacent to Water Works Road, on Sunday at 11am, no condolence ceremony will take place at the graveyard.
In a condolence statement, Mirwaiz Manzil termed the demise of Molvi Nisar as a great loss for the Mirwaiz family and prayed for his elevation to the highest ranks in Jannah.
