Two persons die, another injured in Kupwara road accident
Srinagar: At least two people died and another was injured in a road accident in Kupwara district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, at least two people died, and another was injured after an oil tanker skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge near Machil, area of the district, officials said.
The official added that two people identified as Jasbir Singh and Unkush Choudary died in the incident, while another identified as Anu Sharma was injured.
Meanwhile, a bridegroom Mubashir Ahmad Naikoo was injured in a knife attack by unknown persons amid the wedding celebrations at Rakhama area of Shopian district.
Naikoo was shifted to SDH Kulgam from where he was referred to SMHS hospital Srinagar for advanced treatment. The local JKpolice said that a case has been registered and a manhunt has been launched to nab the attackers.
