Srinagar: The New Delhi-controlled BJP regime has attached the property of another civilian in Pulwama district, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, continuing its policy of displacing Kashmiris from their homeland.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the property includes land measuring 16 marlas along with a two-story residential house of Bilal Ahmad Lone, seized under the draconian law, UAPA in the Nehama area of the district.
Indian officials labeled the victim a supporter of the ongoing Kashmiri plebiscite demand, claiming he provided shelter to freedom activist Reyaz Ahmad Dar and his associate Rayees Ahmad Dar, who were martyred by Indian troops at his house on June 3, 2024.
The BJP regime uses such pretexts to displace Kashmiris and undermine their political and economic stability.
Meanwhile, Indian police summoned three individuals for questioning over posting protest content on social media. The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) in a statemenet in Srinagar strongly condemned the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regime and its agencies for attaching properties of people demanding self-determination.
APHC spokesman Adv Abdul Rashid Minhas said that attaching Kashmiri houses and lands is a colonial-era tactic the BJP has long used to break the political will of Kashmiris and the Hurriyat camp. This is part of the RSS/BJP Hindutva agenda under outgoing Director General of Police (DGP) RR Swain to crush Kashmiris’ stand and weaken their economy through violent tactics.
Minhas maintained it is unfortunate that the Indian BJP government and its regime shamelessly use agencies to harass and humiliate Hurriyat leaders, youth, and activists, terrorizing people to weaken the righteous demand for self-determination.
