Reducing IIOJK to UT mere ‘constitutional felony’: Kapil Sibal
New Delhi :Indian lawmaker Kapil Sibal on Thursday said it was a “constitutional felony” to have reduced the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) to a Union Territory and asserted that it was time to restore its statehood and Article 370.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the lawmakers remarks come a day after National Conference leader Omar Abdullah took oath as the chief minister of IIOJK.
It is high time to restore statehood of IIOJK and Article 370, he said, adding that the IIOJK turned another page in its troubled history, the 54-year-old Abdullah was sworn in along with five other ministers, three from Jammu region and two from the Kashmir Valley.
