APHC-AJK holds meeting in Islamabad to finalize protest programs for Oct 27 Black Day

Islamabad: A meeting of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) was held in Islamabad with Convener Ghulam Mohammad Safi to finalize the Black Day protest programs on October 27.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the meeting declared October 27, 1947 as the darkest day in human history and said that on that day, India violated the formula of partition of the sub-continent and landed its troops in Jammu and Kashmir against the wishes of the Kashmiris and occupied it illegally.

It was said in the meeting that the day will be observed as Black Day and protests will be held in Muzaffarabad, Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. It was further said in the meeting that India was using various nefarious tactics to suppress the freedom struggle of the Kashmiris.

It was said that Modi’s Indian government was bent on exterminating all Kashmiri Muslims and turning the occupied territory into a Hindu majority locality. India is following the Israeli policy in occupied Kashmir and is settling non-Kashmiris there to turn the Muslim majority into a minority.

It was resolved in the meeting that due to the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people, India will have to withdraw from occupied Kashmir soon and the day is not far when the unprecedented sacrifices of Kashmiris will bring fruit and Kashmiris will get freedom from the illegal occupation of India.

APHC-AJK General Secretary Advocate Parvaiz Ahmed, Mahmood Ahmed Saghar, Syed Yousuf Naseem, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Muhammad Farooq Rahmani, Muhammad Khateeb Hussain, Shamim Shawl, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Ijaz Rahmani, Sheikh Yaqoob, Haji Muhammad Sultan, Javed Jahangir, Imtiaz Wani, Zahid Ashraf, Zahid Safi, Raja Khadim Hussain, Mian Muzaffar, Sheikh Abdul Majid, Syed Gulshan, Adeel Mushtaq, Muhammad Ashraf Dar, Manzoor Ahmad Dar, Abdul Majeed Lone, Mushtaq Ahmad Butt and others participated in the meeting.

It should be mentioned that Kashmiris observe 27th October every year as Black Day to protest against India’s illegal occupation of their motherland. The purpose of observing this day is also to remind the international community of its commitments regarding the implementation of the United Nations Security Council resolutions, which support the right to self-determination of Kashmiris.
