Aggression on J&K on Oct 27, 1947 stigma on India’s face: Rehmani

Islamabad: All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter senior leader Muhammad Farooq Rahmani has said that India’s air attack on Jammu and Kashmir on October 27, 1947 is remembered as the worst act against peaceful and unarmed Kashmiris.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Muhammad Farooq Rahmani in a statement issued in Islamabad said the aggression on Jammu and Kashmir is not only a stigma on the face of India, but it has given rise to many political and economic evils.

He said India has deprived the Kashmiris of their right to freedom for which they had fought a great struggle against the Dogra Raj since the early 1930s and 22 Kashmiris were martyred while facing the bullets of the Dogra army. He added that the illegal Indian invasion of Jammu and Kashmir had made the entire subcontinent and the people of Jammu and Kashmir insecure and had put the future of lakhs of Kashmiris in darkness.

Muhammad Farooq Rahmani said that the main objective of the illegal Indian actions of August 2019 was to change the demography of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He said India has destroyed the cultural and political identity of Jammu and Kashmir during the last five years,

Mohammad Farooq Rahmani said it is the responsibility of the United Nations to take notice of the ongoing illegal Indian actions in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the worst atrocities on innocent Kashmiris and give Kashmiris their birthright to self-determination according to the resolutions passed by the World Body.
