Muslim children assaulted, forced to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in Madhya Pradesh
Bhopal: Three Muslim children were assaulted and forced to chant Hindutva slogans by Hindu extremists in BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh state.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident occurred on Friday evening near Amrit Sagar Lake in Ratlam district of the state.
The families of the victims stated that the children, aged 6, 9, and 12, were sitting near a swing when two men, identified as Kailash and Veer, approached them. Upon discovering their Muslim identity, the attackers verbally abused the children, slapped them with slippers, and forced them to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’.
The attackers also filmed the incident, which has sparked widespread outrage and protests. In the video, one of the men repeatedly strikes the children with a slipper and slaps them while demanding that they say ‘Jai Shri Ram’. The man can also be heard reprimanding them for saying ‘Allah’ after being hit.
Prominent Indian human rights activist Apoorvanand condemned the attack, stating that Hindus are increasingly adopting violent extremism under the BJP government, and are using this power to oppress Muslims across India.
