Hindutva groups want to create unrest by claiming temples beneath mosques: Akhilesh Yadav
New Delhi: Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has said that the Hindutva groups and certain elements want to create unrest across India by claiming to find temples beneath mosques and dargahs.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Akhilesh Yadav, during his speech in the Lok Sabha, the lower house of Indian Parliament, stated that minorities, especially Muslims, have been relegated to second-class citizens. He expressed deep concern over economic inequality and the brutal treatment of minorities across India.
Akhilesh Yadav emphasized that the Indian Constitution has kept the country united despite linguistic, religious, and social diversity. The Constitution acts as a shield that empowers the powerless and marginalized, and therefore, its protection is a matter of life and death for the poor.
He further added that a caste-based population census will not cause division in society, but will instead bridge gaps and ensure justice for all. KMS-4U
