Patients suffer as hospital in IIOJK lacks electricity

Srinagar: The Sub-District Hospital (SDH) in Kokernag area of Islamabad district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir is facing a severe power outage causing significant distress to patients and hospital staff due to a lack of proper electricity backup.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the hospital has no reliable backup power, leaving the medical staff and patients in a difficult situation. The backup generator takes almost an hour to start after a power failure, during which time essential machinery and hospital operations come to a halt.

“This often happens at the hospital, and the backup takes too long to start,” said one of the hospital employees, expressing frustration over the repeated power disruptions.

The delays in restoring power are drawing increasing criticism from visitors, who have raised concerns about the impact on patient care.
