Observing Solidarity Day clear message to India that Pakistan stands with Kashmir: APHC AJK

Muzaffarabad: All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has stated that Pakistans’ observing of Solidarity Day sends a clear message to India that Pakistani people and government stands with their Kashmiri brethren.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK held a large public gathering in Muzaffarabad in connection with the Kashmir Solidarity day led by Convenor Ghulam Muhammad Safi. The event was attended by Speaker AJK Assembly Choudhary Latif Akbar, Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami AJK Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Chairman of United Movement Muhammad Rizwan, government ministers of Azad Kashmir, as well as a large number of women and students.

Speakers at the event emphasized that Pakistan has been providing strong political, diplomatic, and moral support to the Kashmiri people who have been struggling against India’s illegal occupation for the last 77 years. They said that Pakistan is advocating strongly for Kashmiris on international forums, demanding that they be granted their birthright, the right to self-determination, so they can decide their own political future. The speakers reiterated that Pakistan, by observing Kashmir Solidarity Day every year, sends a clear message to India that it stands with the Kashmiris in their just struggle for the right to self-determination.

The speakers said that Kashmiris and Pakistanis are one considering the ideology of Pakistan and no power on the earth can separate them and the people of Pakistan are standing side by side in the freedom struggle with the people of Kashmir.

They said that India is illegally occupying Jammu and Kashmir, and is committing the worst human rights violations there, committing the worst war crimes like extrajudicial killings of civilians, imprisoning innocent people in jails, seizing Kashmir lands, undermining the Islamic identity.

Speakers said that thousands of people participating in the Solidarity Kashmir rally reject the actions of the Indian Lok Sabha on August 5, 2019. “Today, thousands of Kashmiri citizens reject the biased and political decisions of the Indian Supreme Court on December 11, 2023”, they stated.

They said that the time has come for the United Nations Security Council to play a role in resolving the Kashmir issue according to the resolutions passed by it.
