“Modi’s visit to US unacceptable,” Washington echoed with anti-Modi slogans

Washington: A large number of Kashmiri and Sikh communities held a protest demonstration outside the White House in Washington on the occasion of the meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the protest demonstration was organized by “Friends of Kashmir” and “Sikhs for Justice”.

The protesters raised anti-India slogans on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the US and said a person like Narendra Modi, who is involved in serious human rights violations and known as “butcher of Gujarat”, cannot be welcomed at any cost in a country like the US that believes in the supremacy of human rights.
On this occasion, Sikh leaders raised slogans in favour of the establishment of Khalistan and Kashmiri leaders raised slogans in favour of the freedom of occupied Kashmir from Indian rule.
Addressing the protesters, Friends of Kashmir Chairperson Ghazala Habib said minorities are being subjected to severe prejudice and discrimination during Narendra Modi’s regime which is unacceptable in any way.
The protest was attended by Kashmiri leaders Raja Mukhtar, Aamir Mehboob, Haiqa Khan, Ashraf Bashir Muhammad Zubair and Zubaida Khan, as well as the Education Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir government Malik Zafar.
He said that the world should take notice of the ongoing Indian oppression and violence in occupied Kashmir and the Kashmir dispute should be resolved as soon as possible in accordance with United Nations resolutions.
Along with Sikh leaders Dr Bakshi Singh, Amarjit Singh and Avtar Singh Pannu, a large number of Sikh protesters also participated in the demonstration and raised slogans against Modi.
