Kashmiris no longer trust Modi, Amit Shah: Karra
Jammu: Congress Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir president Tariq Hameed Karra has said that the Indian government led by Narendra Modi is playing with the sentiments of people of Kashmir over the restoration of statehood.
According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing a workers convention at Kishtwar, Karra said that the people occupied Jammu and Kashmir no longer trust Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for backtracking from their public commitment.
IIOJK Congress President said that the office of Prime Minister and Home Minister are an institution and any word spoken by them is considered an honest commitment and honor attached to the institution. However, the way Kashmiri people’s faith is being betrayed is a breach of trust,having far reaching consequences for times to come, a tacit warning of another uprising in the territory.
He asserted that “Statehood is our right and we are not going to beg for restoration of our right, dignity, identity & status but shall fight for it, while seeking people’s support, who responded enthusiastically, to take to streets if required.”
