JKLF slams Indian FM’s recent remarks on Kashmir
Islamabad: The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has slammed Indian foreign minister S. Jaishankar on his recent statement he made on Jammu and Kashmir during a function at Chatham House in UK.
According to Kashmir Media Service, S. Jaishankar had claimed that India has restored growth, economic activity and social justice in Jammu Kashmir and that they are now waiting for the return of the parts of Jammu and Kashmir (Azad Jammu and Kashmir) to resolve the issue completely.
JKLF chief spokesman Muhammad Rafiq Dar in a statement issued in Islamabad termed the claims of the Indian foreign minister as unrealistic, unreasonable and baseless. He said the ongoing freedom movement backed with unprecedented sacrifices, presence of almost a million Indian forces in the area, and the United Nations resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir stand witness to the fact that entire Jammu and Kashmir is a long-pending unresolved and internationally recognized dispute.
He reiterated its party’s stand that Jammu Kashmir belongs to none other than its State Subjects, and elaborated that Kashmir is not a territorial dispute between India and Pakistan but an internationally recognized dispute.
Condemning the arrogant attitude of the Indian minister, he termed the Indian claims of taking the AJK and GB as their wishful thinking. He said the Jammu and Kashmir legally, factually and historically never belonged to India.
