Wani honoured with calls for continued struggle at Muzaffarabad events

Muzaffarabad: The Shuhada Foundation of Jammu and Kashmir and Kashmir Liberation Cell solemnly observed the 9th martyrdom anniversary of popular youth leader Burhan Muzaffar Wani and his associates Masoom Ahmad Shah and Sartaj Ahmad Sheikh with a dignified ceremony in Muzaffarabad, the capital city of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the public gathering at Shaheed Burhan Chowk and a rally at old Secretariat were separately held by Jammu and Kashmir Shuhada Foundation and Kashmir Liberation Cell in which hundreds of people including Hurriyat leaders, politicians and Kashmir migrants participated.
Speaker of AJK Assembly Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir & Gilgit-Baltistan, Dr Muhammad Mushtaq Khan, Traders president Abdul Raqak Khan, Peoples Party AJK leader, Showket Javeed Mir, APHC AJK media secretary Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Jammu and Kashmir Shuhada Foundation head Muhammad Shabaz Wani and others speakers paying tributes to Shaheed Burhan Wani and his companions, stated that Wani infused new life into the Kashmir freedom movement with his supreme sacrifice.,
Speakers asserted that Burhan Wani’s path remains the path to freedom, resonating deeply with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. They emphasized that the Kashmiri people stand united in their struggle against Indian occupation and stressed the urgent need for unwavering support to them.
The speakers highlighted Burhan Wani’s role in inspiring Kashmiri youth through social media and praised the unwavering spirit of Kashmiris who continue to resist Indian oppression despite countless sacrifices. They also expressed disappointment over the silence of the international community.
They said Burhan Wani opened a new chapter in the freedom movement and emphasized that his ideology must be carried forward with resolve. The speakers warned that the unresolved Kashmir dispute poses a nuclear threat to South Asia.
