Two Indian troops succumb to injuries as Kulgam operation enters 10th day

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, two of the six Indian troops injured during the ongoing operation in Kulgam district have died in hospital.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the injured personnel were receiving treated at a military hospital in Srinagar, where they succumbed to their wounds. The massive operation, launched last Thursday in the Akhal area of Kulgam, entered its 10th consecutive day today.
Indian Army troops, paramilitary forces, police, and para-commandos are taking part in the operation, supported by gunship helicopters and drones. So far, Indian forces have martyred two youth during the operation, while six troops have been injured, two of whom have now died.
Heavy explosions and intense exchanges of fire between Indian troops and unidentified gunmen continue, while occupation forces have further tightened the cordon around several localities and brought in additional reinforcements.
The prolonged siege has left residents facing acute shortages of food, medicines, and other essential supplies, compounding their suffering.
