Indian police raid bookshop in IIOJK’s Pulwama, seize Islamic books

Srinagar: Indian police raided a bookshop in the Laiter area of Pulwama district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and seized Islamic books in the shop.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a police spokesperson said after a search warrant was issued by a court of the Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA), a police team raided and searched the shop of Muhammad Amin Rather in Laiter, Pulwama. Police seized banned books and posters during the search.
The statement said further investigation is underway and such operations will continue to maintain the so-called law and order situation.
It is to be noted that the Indian government has banned several books in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, including the books of Maulana Abul A’la Maududi, the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami.
