Indian forces launch massive crackdown in IIOJK, over 150 arrested

Srinagar: Indian forces’ personnel have launched a massive crackdown across various districts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, arresting over 150 people.

According to Kashmir Media Service, personnel from Indian police and intelligence agencies carried out raids in Srinagar and other districts of the Kashmir Valley. During the operations, residents, including women and children, were harassed, and important documents, phones, laptops, and other digital devices were seized.

A top Indian official said that over 150 individuals have been detained in Srinagar alone, while the crackdown is going on in several other parts of the Valley.

The official claimed that the operation targets so-called Over Ground Workers to dismantle the pro-freedom network across the Valley, a pretext frequently used by occupation authorities to justify the detention of ordinary Kashmiris.

Raids were still going on when last report came in.
