‘Nitish Kumar’s action violates ethics, human dignity,’ says Maulana Farooq
Jammu, December 20 (KMS): Large-scale protests were held in Kishtwar, Doda and other areas of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s reprehensible act of publicly removing the veil of a Muslim woman doctor during an official event in Patna.
According to Kashmir Media Service, thousands of people, including women and children, participated in the demonstrations. Protesters raised loud slogans against Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and demanded his immediate removal from office. They carried banners and placards condemning the Chief Minister’s despicable act.
In Kishtwar, Jamia Masjid Imam Farooq Ahmad Kichloo addressed the demonstrators, describing the Bihar CM’s act completely against ethics and human dignity. He praised the courage and determination of the woman doctor and expressed full solidarity with her.
Maulana Farooq further emphasized that public officials must exercise responsibility in both words and actions. He warned that such indecent acts not only hurt religious sentiments but also promote hatred and division in society, urging Nitish Kumar to issue an immediate apology.
The protests later dispersed peacefully.
