Srinagar protests over Nitish Kumar’s act of hijab pulling in Bihar

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a protest was held in Srinagar against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over his controversial act of pulling the veil of a woman doctor, which was widely condemned as an attack on religious freedom and constitutional rights.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the protesters denounced the incident as an affront to the fundamental rights. They said such actions by those in power promote intolerance and undermine secular values.
During the demonstration, slogans were raised in defence of the hijab and constitutional guarantees. The protesters also burnt an effigy of Nitish Kumar to register their strong resentment and opposition.
The protest was organized by the Youth Congress and led by its leader Yasir Mandoo. Other Youth Congress leaders, including Basharat Wani, Waseem, Mohd Shafi, Saqib Sultan, Zahid Mir, Syed Iqbal, and Musadiq Mehraj, also participated in the demonstration.
