Jammu-Srinagar highway blocked due to landslides & shooting stones

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, traffic on Jammu-Srinagar highway has been suspended due to continuous landslides and shooting stones blocking both tubes between Karol Bridge and Chanderkote in Ramban district.
According to Kashmir Media Service, vehicular movement has been stopped from both ends at safer locations as a precautionary measure.
“Due to continuous sliding and shooting stones, both tubes are blocked between Karol Bridge and Chanderkote. Traffic has been stopped at either ends at safe locations,” an official said.
The Traffic Control Units (TCU) Jammu and Srinagar have been informed to halt movement of heavy motor vehicles (HMVs) and light motor vehicles (LMVs) during night hours till at least one tube is cleared.
