IIOJK: CRPF constable killed in Poonch firing incident
Srinagar: An Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable was killed in a firing incident in the Poonch district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service, the deceased constable, affiliated with the 38 Battalion of CRPF and a resident of Chak Dayala in Samba district, lost his life in an alleged accidental firing incident inside a camp in Poonch.
Officials said preliminary reports indicate the incident occurred due to an accidental discharge of fire, however, the exact circumstances surrounding the firing incident are yet to be ascertained.
In a separate incident, a civilian identified as Farooq Ahmad Sheikh was killed in a hit-and-run accident involving an unidentified vehicle in the Heerpora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
