Indian forces’ SPO booked for job fraud in IIOJK

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian armed forces’ Special Police Officer (SPO) was booked for cheating people on the pretext of arranging engagements in the Police Department as SPOs.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the police have registered a case in Tral, South Kashmir, against the Special Police Officer (SPO), identified as Inder Paul Singha, a resident of Saimoh Tral.

According to a statement, a complaint, lodged at Tral police station, said that the accused collected money from the complainant by falsely claiming it was required to facilitate engagement through official channels.

However, despite receiving the money, the accused neither secured the promised engagement nor refunded the amount despite repeated demands, the complainant said. The complaint further stated that the accused had issued fake and forged appointment-related documents to the complainant as well as several other individuals.

Accordingly, Tral police station registered an FIR under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and investigation also found that the accused had obtained substantial sums of money from multiple individuals on the false promise of securing jobs as SPOs in the Police Department.
