Mehbooba grills IIOJK admin over its indifference to thousands of teachers’ fate

Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti castigated Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir’s administration for remaining silent on the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET)issue, leaving thousands of teachers in limbo .

According to Kashmir Media Service, in a post on X, Mufti said thousands of teachers in IIOJK face uncertainty, anguish, and the looming threat of termination due to the unresolved Teachers Eligibility Test matter.

“Today, thousands of teachers in IIOJK face uncertainty, anguish, and the looming threat of termination. While Indian states are fighting to protect their teachers by filing review petitions before the Supreme Court on the TET issue, our government chose silence despite earlier assurances of support,” she said.

The PDP chief said teachers deserve advocacy and protection, not indifference at a moment that could determine their livelihood and future. The IIOJK government has not yet issued an official response to her allegations.
