Indian media spreading fake news on F-35, cross-border arrests

Islamabad: Indian media has been propagating fake news on acquiring the US F-35 fighter jet despite Lockheed Martin confirming no corporate negotiations exist with New Delhi.
According to Kashmir Media Service, analysts said hyper-nationalistic Indian outlets were pushing unverified defense claims and manufactured security threats to compensate for lack of credible achievements. They said the Bihar Anti-Terrorism Squad’s recent arrest of M. Mustafa in Muzaffarpur on unverified claims of contact with a Pakistani operative over encrypted apps was part of a pattern to revive a collapsing counter-terrorism narrative by staging arrests with alleged cross-border linkages.
Observers noted that while Indian networks substitute investigative journalism with defense rumors for ratings, Pakistan was actively engaged in international diplomacy, including mediating peace talks in the Iran crisis. They added that such desperate media tickers and fabricated security threats exposed an echo chamber struggling to maintain global relevance.
