Israel’s continued aggression, mysterious silence on Iran issue expose India’s hypocritical policy
Islamabad: The continued silence on the growing Israeli aggression and the self-serving attitude on the Iran issue after the ceasefire have completely exposed India’s hypocritical foreign policy.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited Israel two days before Israel’s attack on Iran and had maintained complete silence on the Iran issue during the war.
According to Indian news agency, Asian News International (ANI), India stood with Israel during the attacks on Iran and today is getting closer to Iran again under the guise of energy and trade interests.
In this regard, Modi, in a telephonic conversation with the Iranian President, has stressed the need to resolve the disputes through negotiations and diplomacy.
The restoration of the Strait of Hormuz and the easing of financial sanctions on Iran are already included in the Iran-US 14-point agreement.
Modi declared the protection of sea lanes and freedom of trade in the Strait of Hormuz as a global and Indian interest.
According to international experts, India’s emphasis on freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz is not about supporting Iran, but about protecting Indian trade, oil supplies and economic interests.
India had stopped buying Iranian oil under American pressure, which clearly shows that its relations with Iran are secondary to American interests.
Experts say that India did not clearly condemn the Israeli attack on Iran and also remained completely silent in defending Iran’s sovereignty.
India’s partnership with Israel before the war, complete silence during the war and friendship with Iran for oil after the war are signs of hypocrisy and opportunism.
