IIOJK: 18 Hindu Amarnath pilgrims injured in road mishap

Jammu: A collision between buses, carrying Hindu Amarnath pilgrims on the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Jammu, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, injured 18 pilgrims.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the accident took place on Monday morning near Chandrakot, Langar Point on the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Ramban district.

According to the authorities, the accident took place at around 7:21am when one bus collided with another bus, carrying pilgrims, due to brake failure.

As a result of the accident, 18 pilgrims were injured. Both the buses were also damaged in the accident.

All the injured, including the driver, have been immediately shifted to the District Hospital, Ramban, for treatment.

The Chandrakot police station has registered a case and started further investigation.
