India’s Pahalgam propaganda collapsing, new ‘Water Terrorism’ narrative pushed

Islamabad : One and a half years after the Pahalgam false flag operation, India’s propaganda campaign blaming Pakistan without evidence appears to be collapsing, with New Delhi now pushing a new media narrative under the label of “Water Terrorism”.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in July 2026 India’s National Investigation Agency named alleged foreign elements as the mastermind behind the incident — a move described as belated and aimed at creating political drama.
For the previous 18 months, Delhi carried out a sustained campaign against Pakistan, during which Muslims, lower-caste Hindus, Sikhs and other minorities were arbitrarily arrested, politically motivated FIRs were registered, and one-sided investigations were conducted.
No evidence was shared with Pakistan nor was any serious offer of dialogue made. Under intense scrutiny, the façade of India’s so-called democracy has begun to crumble, the report said. While accusing others of sponsoring terrorism, Indian institutions flooded the media with deepfake videos attributed to banned organizations and misused the names of religious and political parties to fabricate false links.
Now, as India’s narrative against Pakistan weakens, a new wave of AI-generated videos and deepfake content is being circulated to repeat old allegations regarding Pahalgam, it added.
“This is the same modus operandi India has used for years — false flag operations, media-driven psychological warfare, and a consistent refusal to exchange evidence in good faith,” a report stated.
It said this is not counterterrorism but state-sponsored deception, intended to defame Pakistan and conceal India’s internal repression and strategic failures in Kashmir.
The report noted there has been no transparency and no joint investigation — only manufactured outrage through sections of the Indian media. Pakistan has repeatedly demanded sharing of evidence and called for dialogue, but India has responded only with aggression and lies, it added.
“The international community is now increasingly recognizing New Delhi’s narrative of hatred, deception, and toxic propaganda. India’s international credibility has collapsed — and it is drowning in the sea of terrorism stories of its own creation.”
