Indian forces continue search, frisking operations in IIOJK

Srinagar: Indian forces have continued search and frisking operations in Srinagar city and the Srinagar-Jammu Highway ahead of Indian Independence Day official functions on August 15 in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian forces[ personnel and its agencies have increased surveillance and vehicle checks at sensitive locations.

The personnel from the Indian army, BSF, CRPF, Police and other agencies are being deployed along the highway, particularly at vulnerable and strategic points, officials said.

Vehicle-checking and monitoring have been stepped up while several cordon-and-search operations (CASOs) have also been conducted in parts of Islamabad and Kulgam since Thursday evening, with Indian forces carrying out searches and house raids at identified locations.
