APHC-AJK pays rich tributes to Hurriyat leaders on death anniversaries Renews pledge to Kashmir cause
Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter held a condolence reference in Islamabad, today, to pay glowing tributes to Hurriyat leaders Mushtaq Ahmed Wani, Dr Abdul Aala, and Shaikh Tajammul-ul-Islam on their death anniversaries.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the condolence meeting was presided over by former APHC-AJK Convener Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, while AJK Jamaat-e-Islami leader Abdul Rashid Turabi was the chief guest.
The speakers said that Mushtaq Ahmad Wani, Dr Abdul Aala, and Shaikh Tajammul-ul-Islam began their political journeys with Al-Fatah and Jamait Tulba Jammu Kashmir and, as their members, endured imprisonment and other hardships. They noted that these leaders remained steadfast in their commitment to the Kashmir cause, worked tirelessly to further the cause and ultimately laid down their lives for their mission.
Paying homage to the deceased leaders, the speakers highlighted their consistent emphasis on unity among Kashmiri leadership and people, saying a united front remained essential to advancing the freedom cause.. They pointed out that India was killing innocent Kashmiris to force them into abandoning their legitimate struggle. The only way to thwart the enemy’s nefarious designs is through unity and consensus, they added.
The speakers said the deceased leaders would always be remembered for their contributions and sacrifices to the freedom struggle of Kashmir.
The meeting concluded with prayers for the Kashmiri martyrs and a renewed pledge to continue the freedom struggle until its complete success.
Those who attended the event included APHC-AJK General Secretary Advicate Parviaz Ahmed Shah, Syed Yousuf Naseem, Syed Faiz Naqashbandi, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, Altaf Hussain Wani, Mir Tahir Masood, Sarwar Hussain Gilgiti, Najeeb Gafoor, Shaikh Abdul Majid, Adeel Mushtaq Wani, Shaikh Abdul Mateen, Syed Aijaz Rehmani, Khadim Hussain, Zahid Safi, Zahid Ashraf, Abdul Majid Lone, Dawood Yosuf Zai, Zahid Mujtaba, Manzoor Ahmed Dar, Muhammad Asraf Dar, Haji Muhammad Sultan, Muhammad Shafi Dar, Nazir Karnai, Afsar Khan, Abdul Rashid Butt and Adeel Ansari.
Meanwhile, APHC-AJK leader Hassan-ul-Bana in a separate statement paid rich tributes to the political struggle and sacrifices of Mushtaq Wani, Dr Abdul Aala, and Shaikh Tajammul-ul-Islam, highlighting their significant role in the ongoing freedom struggle of Jammu and Kashmir against India’s forcible and illegal occupation.
