Seminar on ‘Role of Women, Youth and Diaspora on Kashmir’ held in Muzaffarabad
Muzaffarabad: A seminar on “Role of Women, Youth and Diaspora on Kashmir” was organized by Scholars Youth Forum in Muzaffarabad.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan Human Rights and Women Empowerment Mashal Malik was the special guest. Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Right to Self-Determination International Raja Najabat Hussain was among those who attended the seminar.
Speaking at the event, Chief Guest, Special Assistant to Prime Minister of Pakistan, Human Rights and Women Empowerment Mashaal Malik said that India is committing the worst violations of human rights in Occupied Kashmir. The problem of Kashmir, she added, has to be highlighted at the international level.
The seminar was held in connection with the UN January 5 resolution on Kashmir. This resolution is considered an important document in connection with the Kashmiri people’s self-determination. It was on this day in 1949 that the United Nations Commission for India and Pakistan (UNCIP) adopted a resolution calling for a free and fair plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir.
