Protest in Baramulla against Modi regime’s brutal policies in IIOJK
Srinagar: A big protest demonstration was held in Baramulla district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir against the Narendra Modi government’s policies, targeting the Kashmiri people both economically and politically.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the residents of around five villages gathered in Wagoora area of the district against the inflated electricity bills.
The aggrieved residents from Watergam Wagoora, Kawchak, Sheikhpora, Dardpora, Shirpora and Harnar assembled outside the office of the power department at Watergam in Wagoora and held the forceful protest demonstration.
While raising slogans against the occupation authorities, the protesters said that they were being charged inflated electricity tariff despite 20-hour loadshedding. “The inflated bills are unacceptable,” said Abdul Gaffar of Dardpora. “The department concerned must rectify the bills,” he added.
The agitating residents complained that they were facing unscheduled power cuts as they don’t receive electricity even for four hours and are forced to pay high electricity bills.
“We will continue our protest if the bills are not withdrawn,” the protesters warned.
