AJK PM unveils global initiative for Kashmiri Freedom

Islamabad: Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq has announced a far-reaching international campaign to spotlight the struggle for Kashmiri freedom.

According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, he underscored the pivotal role of the global Kashmiri diaspora as authentic advocates for Kashmir’s liberty.

PM Anwar-ul-Haq outlined plans for an extensive series of conferences, seminars, and dialogues across the United Kingdom and Europe. The primary objective is to draw attention to the hardships faced by the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir under Indian rule. The diplomatic initiative is scheduled to commence from February 5 to February 11, featuring events in key cities such as Birmingham, Manchester, London, Bradford, and Nelson.

Meanwhile, Raja Najabat Hussain, Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International called on PM Anwar-ul-Haq, on the occasion. He emphasized the significance of collaboration among various political, social, and religious organizations, as well as parliamentarians and Kashmir-supporting groups.

In gratitude for the support, the Azad Kashmir Prime Minister affirmed that his government would intensify efforts, utilizing all available means, to expedite the struggle for the freedom of occupied Kashmir. The international campaign aims not only to raise awareness about the Kashmiri people’s plight but also to foster global solidarity in support of their unequivocal right to self-determination.

The announcement comes against the backdrop of heightened tensions in the region, signaling the Azad Kashmir government’s resolute commitment to mobilize international support to end the oppression faced by the people of occupied Kashmir.
