JKLF expresses concern over deteriorating health condition of Yasin Malik
Islamabad: The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) strongly condemning Indian government’s inhumane behavior towards its incarcerated party chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik has expressed deep concern over his worsening health condition.
According to Kashmir Media Service, JKLF chief spokesperson, Muhammad Rafiq Dar in a statement issued in Islamabad, today, said that the health of Muhammad Yasin Malik was deteriorating speedily due to lack of his proper medical treatment in Tihar Jail. He said that the jail authorities were using delaying tactics to shift Yasin Malik to hospital for proper medical treatment despite court orders. He said that Yasin Malik stopped taking medicines as a mark of protest against the jail authorities’ inhuman approach.
He said that in addition to heart disease, Yasin Malik is suffering from kidney ailment, adding that his body weight has also dropped to a great extent, which is a great cause of concern.
Rafiq Dar said that Yasin Malk was being subjected to worst kind of political vengeance for advocating peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute. He said that after sentencing him to life imprisonment in a false case, the Indian govt is now pursuing his death sentence. However, he added, such high-handed tactics cannot force Yasin Malik to give up his rightful cause. He appealed to international human rights organizations to take notice of the plight of Yasin Malik and other jailed Hurriyat leaders and pressurize India to release them.
The JKLF chief spokesperson maintained that due to unprecedented sacrifices rendered by the people of occupied Jammu Kashmir, the complete freedom from Indian yoke has now become the destiny of the Kashmiri people.
