Tributes paid to commander Saifullah Khalid on his martyrdom anniversary
Islamabad: A function was held in Islamabad to pay tributes to martyr Abdul Rasheed Islahi, known as Saifullah Khalid Shaheed, on his martyrdom anniversary.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the function was presided over by Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Awami Party Imtiaz Ahmed Butt.
Abdul Rashid Islahi was a well-known Mujahid commander of the Jammu region. The purpose of the function was to pay tributes to the martyrs and convince the United Nations that the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir are following in the footsteps of the martyrs and will continue their struggle for the right to self-determination.
The speakers on the occasion, expressing solidarity with the victims of the Kunan Poshpora incident, said the brave Kashmiri people will never forget this tragedy. They said India is using the rape of women as a weapon of war to suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle.
The speakers said the day is not far when the sacrifices of the martyrs will bring positive results and the people of Kashmir will get rid of the Indian aggression.
Among others, Khalid Shabbir, Abdul Rashid Butt and Zakir Hussain also participated in the ceremony.
