Indian court rejects Muslim appeal after Hindutva groups lay claim on Teele Wali Masjid in UP
Lucknow: The Muslims have faced yet another legal setback during the proceedings regarding a mosque dispute in Uttar Pradesh.
Among the claims asserted by right-wing Hindu groups over mosques, the Teele Wali Masjid in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, has also been subject to Hindu claims.
The Muslim party faced setbacks when both the Court of Additional District Sessions and the Court of First Instance dismissed the Muslim side’s appeal.
The Hindu party’s case was considered non-maintainable by the Muslim party and consequently, the case will be sent back to the lower court for further proceedings.
The Teele Wali Masjid sees a large number of Muslims gathering for Friday prayers, hinting that the mosque-temple dispute may continue in the future.
