US lawmaker Terry Meza seeks peaceful solution of Kashmir dispute
Washington: US State Representative Terry Meza while condemning denial of justice in occupied Jammu and Kashmir has urged for a peaceful solution to the long-pending Kashmir dispute.
Terry Meza was addressing the US-based Kashmiri Diaspora Community in Dallas, Texas. She condemned the human rights violations and the denial of justice in Kashmir.
She called upon the international community, particularly the United States, to play a constructive role in facilitating dialogue between India and Pakistan to resolve the conflict over Kashmir.
The other participants advocated for a resolution to the Kashmir conflict that prioritizes the aspirations and wishes of the Kashmiri people. They emphasized the need for a democratic Kashmir, where the rights and freedoms of all the Kashmiris are respected and protected.
The meeting was aimed at raising awareness about the Kashmir dispute and advocating for a just and lasting resolution to it.
