Man injured in shell explosion in IIOJK
Jammu: A man was injured after an old mortar shell exploded in the Samba district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the man identified as Chinaar Singh was critically injured after an old mortar shell exploded in Chandli village of the district, today.
The injured has been referred to Medical College Jammu.
Notably, many unexploded shells fired by Indian army remain littered in the areas close to the Line of Control and in other areas of IIOJK. Sometimes such material explodes becoming cause of injury and in some cases claiming lives of people.
Meanwhile, four persons including a woman Seda Begum, Shahzad Hussain, Mubashir Hussain and Vimal Kumar were killed in two road accidents near Garnai on the Srinagar-Jammu Highway in Udhampur district and Achabal area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad district.
