Pak ready to forge ahead with CPEC-II; Sino-Pak together through thick and thin

Islamabad: Newly-elected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s preparedness to advance into the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC-II).

According to Kashmir Media Service the premier in an interview with Chinese news outlet, Xinhua expressed profound gratitude to President Xi Jinping for extending warm congratulations on his recent election as Pakistan’s prime minister.

“It is a very good start,” Premier Shahbaz said while highlighting the significance of the moment as Pakistan and China embark on a journey toward elevated collaboration and shared achievements.

Acknowledging the exemplary modernization strides made by China, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif underscored the need for Pakistan to draw inspiration from the Chinese model.

The prime minister commended China’s transformative success story, which has propelled millions out of poverty while fostering robust growth across various sectors.

“China’s growth has still gone steadily compared to other countries, which is a remarkable achievement,” the premier remarked and emphasized the resilience and efficacy of the Chinese development trajectory.

Drawing parallels between the economic aspirations of both nations, Prime Minister Shehbaz outlined ambitious plans to emulate China’s success in poverty alleviation, youth empowerment, and the promotion of entrepreneurship.

The premier emphasized the pivotal role of initiatives like the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the CPEC in fostering inclusive growth and regional connectivity.

As Pakistan gears up for the second phase of CPEC, Prime Minister Shehbaz reaffirmed the country’s commitment to fostering technological innovation and agricultural development through the corridor.
