BJP not against dynasty politics but rather those who oppose its agenda: Omar Abdullah
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference Vice President, Omar Abdullah has said the BJP does not have a problem with dynastic politics but has issues with those families that oppose the saffron party.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Omar Abdullah speaking to reporters in Srinagar said, “I have said this earlier that BJP has no problem with ‘parivarvaad’ [family-led parties]. They have problems only with those parties who oppose them. And I am proud to say that I oppose the BJP and I have no hesitation in saying this”.
Omar Abdullah said this while responding to the recent remarks made by top BJP leaders accusing several parties including Congress, National Conference and People’s Democratic Party of promoting family rule.
He cited the BJP’s tie-up with Chirag Paswan in Bihar and Indian Home Minister Amit Shah’s meeting with Raj Thackeray amid speculation of an alliance in Maharashtra for the Lok Sabha polls and asked if these were not examples of family politics. “Is their (BJP’s) candidate from Guna in Gwalior (Jyotiraditya Scindia), not a dynast?” he further asked.
