Indian police register FIR after non-local converts to Islam in Srinagar
Srinagar: Indian police have registered an FIR into an incident that took place on Jumat-ul-Wida at the Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar, wherein a non-local reportedly converted to Islam, termed by the police FIR as a “forced conversion.”
According to Kashmir Media Service, the video of the conversion incident went viral on social media platforms, particularly Facebook.
According to media reports, the video, shared by certain individuals, depicts a person named Sandeep, residing in Haryana, India, purportedly converting his religion during Friday prayers at the Hazratbal shrine.”
